Sci Girls I 2014 Rock! That's right - it's a
NEW year and we have awesome
NEW adventures planned for our
NEW campers. Today we kicked off two weeks of extraordinary experiences with a day at the MagLab. The girls received a training on general safety with Angela Sutton, received ID badges, and took initial surveys and collected auger plate samples with Dr. Patricia Novey before beginning water testing. Before we began our annual "Ladies in Science" luncheon, the girls were divided into four candy groups for our science trivia. Congratulations to the "Lemonheads"! A very special thank you goes to Dr. Amy McKenna, Gillian Canning, Whitney George, and Kelly Pagan for being our guests. The day ended with a splash as the campers engaged in the "Water Moves" project created by WFSU. (Check out this game on the WFSU/PBS website.) Not bad for a first day, but join us tomorrow as we recap a howling day at the Seacrest Wolf Preserve.
