Sci Girls I Day 7

Who says you have to watch television for a lesson in crime scene investigation?  Sci Girls I had a truly interactive experience today as they lifted fingerprints, learned how to figure blood spatter, and witnessed one of the steps in footprint identification.  A big thank you to Joann Maltese and the other officers who assisted with our short visit to the Tallahassee Police Department, but we had to dart back over to the Maglab to meet with Barbara Hines from the FL Public Archeaology Network.  Sci Girls had an opportunity to throw an atlatl which is a more historic version of a spear-thrower.   To conclude our day, we headed over to the Florida Center for Interactive Media where the girls were able to provide some of the images and sounds for "We Got Ya", their very own app.  The girls were excited to see who could beat the high score of 11,200.  (We apologize to the general public - this app is not available to any non-Sci Girl affiliates.)    Move over Eyewitness News because tomorrow Sci Girls I move into television production at WFSU.  Stay Tuned!
